DANIEL WAGONER

Daniel Wagoner, son of John Sr and Elizabeth Leach Waggoner, pioneers of family in America, was born in Perry County, Ohio, October 24, 1800; died October 18, 1863. On May 13, 1824, he was united in marriage with Sarah Stockberger, born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, January 13, 1804; died August 28, 1887. Sarah was the daughter of John Stockberger, who was born February 20, 1788, and died August 13, 1854. He and his wife are buried in St Paul's Cemetary, south of Glenford, Perry County, Ohio.

Daniel and Sarah are both interred in the Lutheran Cemetaryat Tiosa, Indiana. Graves marked. Soon after 1850 they migrated from Sandusky County, Ohio, to Newcastle Township, Fulton County, Indiana. They were members of the Lutheran Church, prosperous in business, possessed a beautiful home, and were honored members of the community in which they resided. They were the parents of six children: Hiram, Nancy, Syrena, Christena, Joseph, and Mariah. The family adopted the spelling of the family name as Wagoner.


HIRAM WAGONER


Hiran Wagoner, oldest child of Daniel and Sarah Stockberger Wagoner, born December 16, 1826; died June 11, 1883. Married, February 11, 1849, Sarah Ann Overmyer, born in New York January 19, 1829; died April 12, 1879. Both are interred in the cemetary at Leiters Ford, Indiana. Graves marked. They were prosperous farmers in Richland Township, Fulton County, Indiana in 1860, to which place they had removed from Sandusky County, Ohio, about 1854. In 1870 they were living in Aubbeennaubee Township, Fulton County. Seven children: John Jacob Wagoner, 1850 to 1925; Sarah C Wagoner, died in infancy in 1854; Philip H Wagoner, 1855 to 1921; Mary Ellen Wagoner "VanKirk", 1858 to 1925; William E Wagoner, 1865; Catharine Wagoner, 1867 to 1885; and Charles Wagoner, died in infancy in 1872.

NANCY WAGONER

Nancy Wagoner, second child of Daniel and Sarah Stockberger Wagoner, born in Perry County, Ohio, June 5, 1828; died December 13, 1875. Married August 2, 1845, Jacob Mechling, born in Perry County, Ohio, April 26, 1821; died January 12, 1871. Both are interred in Lutheran Cemetary, near Tiosa, Indiana. From Ohio they removed to New Castle Township, Fulton County, 
Indiana, about 1852, and later to Tippecanoe Township, Marshall County, Indiana, where they engaged in farming. Children are: Alfred Mechling, 1847 to 1918; Jefferson Mechling, 1848 to 1927; Sarah E Mechling "Forsythe", 1851 to 1903; Anna Mechling "Hill", 1853 to 1932; Amanda Mechling "Waddle", 1855 to 1925; Mary Mechling "Grabil", 1858; Daniel Mechling, 1863 to 1927; Catharine Mechling, twin to Daniel, died in infancy in 1863; Mahala Mechling, 1865 to 1866; and Laura Mechling "Rockhill", 1868.

SYRENA WAGONER

Syrena Wagoner, third child of Daniel and Sarah Stockberger Wagoner, born in Perry County, Ohio, February 21, 1833; died February 24, 1908. Interred in Lutheran Cemetary at Tiosa, Indiana. Married first, in Perry County, Ohio, June 15, 1848, Daniel Swinehart, born in Perry County, Ohio, June 4, 1819; died November 4, 1862. Interred in Lutheran Cemetary, Tiosa, Indiana. Children are: Levi Allen Swinehart, 1849 to 1897; Layman Herman Swinehart, 1852 to 1912; Daniel Marion Swinehart, 1858 to 1907; and Sarah Amanda Swinehart "Wright", 1862 to 1939.

Syrena married second, March 4, 1865, Peter Good, born March 27, 1817; died February 12, 1878. Interred in Nicholas Cemetary in Kosciusko County, Indiana. Children are: Charles Franklin Good; Ivy Newton Good, 1869; and Emma Good, 1871 to 1873.

Syrena married third, Peter Cable Dumbauld, born March 12, 1820; died February 25, 1892. Interred in Lutheran Cemetary at Tiosa, Indiana.

CHRISTENA WAGONER

Christena Wagoner, daughter of Daniel and Sarah Stockberger Wagoner, born in Ohio about 1834; died after 1870. Married in Fulton County, Indiana, June 5, 1856, Joseph G Lambert, born in Pennsylvania about 1830, a blacksmith by trade, in Richland Township, Fulton County, Indiana, in 1860. Removed to Bunker Hill, Miami County, Indiana, before 1870. Their known children are: 
Sarah Ellen Lambert, born about 1857; Emma Lambert, born about 1863; Charles C Lambert, born about 1867; and Minnie C Lambert "Schindler", born about 1868.
