Will of John Waggoner, 1756 - 1843

In the name of the benevolent father of all I, John Waggoner of Sandusky County Ohio do make and publish this will and testament
Item 1st I give and bequeath to my beloved wife in lieu of her dower the farm on which we now reside situated in Sandusky Township County and State aforesaid containing about one hundred and fifty five acres during her natural life (but is not to cut down or sell or carry away any timber from said farm) and all the stock - household goods - firearm and provisions that may be thereon at my decease and fifty dollars in silver during her natural life as aforesaid - at the death of my said wife the real estate aforesaid is to be sold by my executors as soon as they and a majority of my heirs shall think is best and advantageous to do so and the proceeds or abstracts? of said real estate is to be equally divided among my heirs except that it is my will that two hundred dollars of the share of said estate that would belong to my son George should go and be paid to my grandchild John Waggoner and whom I brought up in my family also it my will that my grand children John and Jacob being the two oldest sons of my son David Waggoner should have the share that would belong to my said son David. From said real estate equity? _______ and paid to them instead of to their said father and at the death of my said wife if her daughter Catharine Smith shall be then living it is my will that the personal property above said shall be sold by my executors and the proceeds or _______ abstracts? Thereof shall be in their hands a trust fund to be held and ________ for the support of the said Catherine Smith during her natural life bit if the said Catherine Smith shall decease previous to my said Wife then the said personal property is to be sold by my executors and the _______ thereof equally divided among my heirs also it is my will that interest should not be computed on any notes of hand in my possession against my children and heirs also it is my will that my executors at my decease shall equally divide all moneys that I may have in possession at my decease after deduction of said fifty dollars in silver and paying the sum to my wife as before said and pay to each of my heirs said equal share of said money and it is my will that my executors proceed at my decease to collect and obtain their money due upon all and any notes of hand in my possession at my death and when they shall have so collected said money it is my will that my executors first out of said money pay all just debts and my funeral expenses and the balance or remainder of said money so obtained my said executors shall equally divide and pay to my heirs each their equal proportion after first paying all cost of executorship also it is my will that all book accounts due me at my decease shall be paid to my wife.
I do hereby nominate and appoint my son John Waggoner and David Engler executors of this my last will and testament hereby authorizing and empowering to compromise adjust release and discharge in _____ manner as they may deem propper in debts and claims due me.
I do hereby revoke all former wills ________ . In testament whereof I have herewith set my hand and seal this the 20th day of September AD 1842.

Whereas I John Waggoner on the 20th day of September AD 1842 _____ my last will and testament of that day do hereby declair the following to be a codicil to the same.
It is my will that my executors out of son David Waggoners share of money belonging to him at my death according to the terms of my said last will and testament should pay Samuel Crowell Esq. Twenty five dollars upon the said Crowells _____ to said executors for said _____ for a _______.
In ______ whereof I hereunder set my hand and seal this 20th day of Sept AD 1842.
