This is my first attempt at sharing a PSP tip.  I stumbled onto this the other day and it's an easy way to make a logo or page title.  It looks different with different fonts so play with it.

Open a new file, size about 500 x 200, background anything you prefer.  If you want, you can fill it to match the page you will use it on.

Choose a font you like and add your text.  It should be in a bright color that complements your page.  I used red (255,0,0) with size 36, Arial Black, bold, centered with floating checked.  Your text will still have "ants marching" around it.

Selections, Invert  (We are going to add a drop shadow into the text.)

Image, Effects, Drop Shadow (Black, opacity = 100, blur = 10, vertical & horizontal = 3)  A larger number can be used in the vertical & horizontal if you are using a large font.  Play with the settings to get the result you like.  If your font is narrow, you will want a smaller blur number.

Selections, Invert again

Image, Effects, Drop Shadow (Black, opacity = 100, blur = 10, vertical & horizontal = 5)

Select None, crop to size and if you like buttonize and it will look like my gif above.
